Restaurant reservation software
Bookings by phone, online and at the door.
ring2order answers your phone and books the table, gives you a booking page for your website, and runs a waitlist kiosk for walk-ins. Everything lands on one live floor plan. No cover fees. From $55 a month.
Three ways guests get a table
One set of rules for all three: your hours, your tables and your party sizes.
-
They call
The virtual host answers, finds a free time, asks your party questions, reads the booking back once and confirms it. Callers can also change or cancel a booking just by calling from the same phone.
-
They book online
Your restaurant gets its own booking link to put on your website. You can pre-pick a party size, day or time in the link, so a "Book for tonight" button opens with tonight already chosen.
-
They walk in
A tablet by your door runs the waitlist kiosk. Guests add their party and mobile number, and you text them when their table is ready.
Run service from the Floor tab
Made for an iPad at the host stand.
- Live tables, room by room. Each table shows free, booked soon, guest late, seated or over time, refreshed every 30 seconds.
- Your floor plan. Set up your dining rooms (main room, bar, patio, private room and more) and drag each table to where it sits.
- Seat, move and clear. Seat a walk-in, seat a booked party at another table, or clear a table when the guests leave.
- The waitlist next to the floor. Seat a waiting party at a table, mark them as called, or add a party yourself.
- Lock the setup. When your setup is done, lock it with your password. Staff can run bookings and the floor, but can't change your tables, rooms or rules.
Your rules, set once
-
Hours and notice
Booking hours for each day, how long a table is held, how far ahead guests can book, how much notice you need and the dates you're closed.
-
Tables that join
List the tables you push together. A party gets the smallest table that fits, and joined tables only when no single table does.
-
Large groups your way
Choose what happens above a party size: book them like anyone else, take a request your staff confirm, or ask them to call you.
-
Your own questions
Ask every party what you need to know, such as a high chair or an occasion. Make a question required, or only ask it for bigger parties.
Guests get a text, and a link to change it
Guests get a text when their booking is confirmed, changed or cancelled, and when their table is ready. Each booking text carries the guest's private link to change or cancel, so fewer calls come back to your staff.
Your plan includes free texts each month: 100 with Pay as you go or Reservations only, 250 with Busy restaurant and 500 with Rush hour. After those, each text counts as half an assistant minute. A booking usually sends 1 or 2 texts.
What it costs
A monthly plan with no cover fees. You pay the same whether you seat 50 guests or 500.
Two ways to get reservations
| Plan | Per month |
|---|---|
| Reservations only, including 100 assistant minutes | $55.00 |
| Reservations add-on for any ordering plan | +$20.00 |
| Extra assistant minutes, for phone bookings | from $0.15 each |
Bookings made online or at the kiosk don't use minutes. Unused minutes roll over while your account is current. Comparing with OpenTable, Resy or Yelp? See our side-by-side comparison, or all plans on the pricing page.
Questions
Can the virtual host take bookings by phone?
Yes. It checks your open times, asks your party questions, reads the booking back and confirms it. It knows the caller's number automatically, so guests never have to say it, and it can find their booking when they call back to change or cancel.
How do I put booking on my website?
Copy your booking link from the dashboard and add it to your website, or paste the ready-made "Book a table" button. The link opens a booking page with your restaurant already chosen.
How does the waitlist kiosk work?
Start the kiosk from your dashboard on a tablet by your door. Guests join with their party size, name and mobile number. Your staff see the waitlist on the Floor tab and text the guest when the table is ready. Leaving the kiosk needs your password.
Do you charge per cover?
No. You pay a monthly plan, plus assistant minutes for the phone calls the virtual host answers.
Do I need ring2order phone ordering too?
No. Reservations only is a stand-alone plan for $55 a month. If you also want pickup and delivery orders by phone, see phone ordering.
