Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Ring 2 Tech, LLC ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and shares personal information through the ring2orderâ„¢ service, the ring2order dashboard and this website (together, the "Service"). If you have questions, email support@ring2order.com.

1. Who this policy covers

  • Restaurant customers: businesses that sign up for ring2order, and the people who use their accounts.
  • Callers and guests: people who phone a restaurant that uses ring2order, or who book a table or join a waitlist through ring2order. For callers, we handle information on behalf of the restaurant. The restaurant decides how it uses its orders and customer records, and its own privacy policy also applies.
  • Website visitors: people who visit ring2order.com.

2. Information we collect

From restaurant customers

  • Account details such as name, email address and password (stored in hashed form).
  • Restaurant details such as business name, address, phone numbers, opening hours, menu, prices, tax rate, delivery settings and voice preferences.
  • Billing information. Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. We do not receive or store your full card details. Paddle shares with us details such as your name, email, country, subscription status and transaction records.

From callers

  • The caller's phone number (caller ID) and the date, time and length of the call.
  • A recording of the call and a written transcript.
  • Information the caller gives during the call, such as their name, order details, delivery address, payment preference and any message for the restaurant.

From guests who book or join a waitlist

  • Information a guest enters on a restaurant's booking page or waitlist kiosk, such as name, phone number, party size, preferred time and any notes for the restaurant.

From website visitors

  • Basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected by our hosting and security provider to keep the site secure and working.
  • Anything you send us, for example by email.

3. How we use information

  • To answer calls, take and manage orders, check delivery addresses, pass calls and messages to restaurant staff, and show orders, recordings and transcripts in the restaurant's dashboard.
  • To let callers check, change or cancel their recent orders by recognizing their phone number.
  • To send guests text messages about their reservation or waitlist place, such as confirmations, reminders and table-ready alerts. Guests can reply STOP to stop these messages.
  • To run accounts, process subscriptions and usage billing, and provide support.
  • To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
  • To improve the Service, for example by reviewing calls where an order was not handled well.
  • To comply with the law.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Computer-generated call handling

Calls are answered by a computer-generated virtual host that uses artificial intelligence technology provided by third parties. Call audio and transcripts are processed by these providers so the virtual host can understand the caller and respond. We use providers that agree to protect the data and process it only to provide their services to us.

5. Who we share information with

  • The restaurant the caller contacted, which sees its own orders, calls, recordings, transcripts and messages.
  • Service providers that help us run the Service, including telephone, text messaging and call-recording services (Twilio), speech and artificial intelligence services (OpenAI), database and file storage (Supabase), website hosting and security (Cloudflare), web fonts (Google Fonts), address lookup and mapping services, and payment processing (Paddle).
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our customers, callers, the public or us.
  • Business transfers: as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with the information remaining subject to this policy.

6. How long we keep information

  • Call recordings are deleted automatically after 90 days.
  • Orders, transcripts and call records are kept while the restaurant's account is active, so the restaurant can review its history, and for a reasonable period afterwards unless the restaurant asks us to delete them sooner.
  • Account and billing records are kept for as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls that limit each restaurant to its own data, and restricted access for our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies for security. The ring2order dashboard uses browser storage to keep you signed in. Paddle's checkout may use its own cookies, described in Paddle's privacy notice.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to object to or limit some uses of it. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

  • Restaurant customers can update most information in the dashboard or contact us.
  • Callers should contact the restaurant they called. You can also email us, and we will pass your request to the restaurant or help where we can.

To make a request, email support@ring2order.com. We may need to verify your identity first. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

10. Children

The Service is meant for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.

11. Where information is processed

We are based in the United States, and information is stored and processed in the United States. Some of our service providers may also process information in other countries as part of providing their services to us.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify restaurant customers by email or in the dashboard.
