AI phone ordering for restaurants
Never miss a phone order again.
When the kitchen is slammed and the phone keeps ringing, ring2order's virtual host answers. It takes pickup and delivery orders from your menu, reads them back with the total and sends them to your kitchen. From $35 a month.
How a phone order works
- You forward your calls. Every call, or only the ones your team can't pick up. You keep your number and your phone provider.
- The virtual host answers. It greets the caller with your restaurant's name and the call recording notice, then takes the order in a natural conversation.
- It asks what's missing. If a caller forgets a size or a required choice, like a dressing or a cooking temperature, it asks.
- It reads the order back once. The caller hears every item and the total, with your tax and delivery fee added, then confirms.
- The ticket prints in your kitchen. The order lands in your dashboard with its ticket number, ready to print.
Built to get the order right
-
Prices come from your menu
The virtual host never makes up a price. ring2order prices every ticket from your menu, sizes and options, so the total the caller hears is the total on the ticket.
-
Delivery addresses checked
With the delivery add-on, each address is checked against your delivery area before the order is placed. If it's outside, the caller is offered pickup.
-
Every call on record
Each call has a recording and a written transcript in your dashboard, so you can check exactly what was ordered.
More than orders
-
Menu and hours questions
Callers can ask what's on an item, what it costs or when you're open, and get an answer from your own menu and hours.
-
Check, change or cancel
Callers can check on a recent order, or change or cancel one that's still pending, just by calling from the same phone.
-
Their language
Callers can order in English, Spanish and many other languages, at no extra cost.
-
Messages and your staff
A call can be passed to your staff. Callers can also leave a message, which you play back on the Messages page of your dashboard.
Set up step by step
Import your menu from a PDF, photos of a printed menu, a Word file or your website. Check the items, sizes and options on the review screen, then save. Add your hours, tax rate, delivery fee and delivery area, and pick the voice your callers hear.
Setup is self-serve and free. If you'd rather we do it, our done-for-you setup is a one-time $149: we load your menu and settings, help set up call forwarding and run a test call with you.
What it costs
The $15 a month pickup service, plus the assistant minutes you use. A typical call takes about 2 minutes. Unused minutes roll over while your account is current.

Questions
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. ring2order is software, not a phone service. You keep your number and your phone provider, and forward calls to ring2order: all of them, or only the ones your team doesn't answer.
What if the virtual host gets an order wrong?
It reads every order back with the total before placing it, and any change is read back again. Prices come from your menu, never from the virtual host. Every call is recorded and transcribed, so you can check what was said.
Does it take card payments on the call?
No. Customers pay when they pick up or when their delivery arrives, the same way they do when they call you today.
Do customers have to give their phone number?
No. The caller's number is captured automatically, and it's saved with the order.
How many minutes will I need?
Plan on about 2 minutes per call. 250 calls a month is about 500 minutes; 500 calls is about 1000 minutes, the Busy restaurant plan. Buy more minutes any time, and unused minutes roll over.
